BROOKFIELD HOMES HONORED WITH 10 FINALIST NOMINATIONS AT 2007 ÉLAN AWARDS
COSTA MESA, CA — It takes a special kind of homebuilder to create stylish new home communities that shine in the eyes of homebuyers and building industry professionals, but that’s exactly what Brookfield Homes Southland continues to do year after year. The company’s award-winning communities span across Southern California from Irvine to Ontario, each revealing the signature style, warmth and details that consumers have come to expect from the Brookfield brand. That is why it should be no surprise that the 2007 Élan Awards judging committee has honored the famed homebuilder and lifestyle provider with 10 prestigious finalist nominations.
Celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary this year, the Élan Awards will be presented on Saturday, October 6, 2007, in the Crystal Ballroom of the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills. The annual awards competition is sponsored by the Los Angeles/Ventura County Sales and Marketing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California to honor excellence in all facets of new-home development and marketing.
Each of Brookfield’s finalists this year reflect the Élan Awards’ standard for excellence, as well as the company’s passion for providing homeshoppers with a unique new home experience, inviting community living and classically designed homes that are destined to last throughout the decades.
Vantage, Brookfield’s community of luxury townhomes in Diamond Bar, was honored with eight finalist nominations: Best Attached Home Plan—Priced Under $750,000 for Plan 3, Best Model Complex Landscape Design for Attached Product, Best Interior Merchandising of an Attached Plan—Priced Up To $750,000 for Plan 3, Best Interior Merchandising of an Attached Plan—Priced $750,000 and Over for Plan 5, Best Sales Office—Alternative Use, Best Logo Design, Best Brochure and Best Signage. Vantage has already caught the attention of the homebuilding industry this year since it was honored as Attached Community of the Year at the 2006 MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards—one of the most prestigious honors in the annual awards competition, which is sponsored by the Sales & Marketing Council of Southern California. The community also earned a Gold Nugget merit award for Best Attached Housing Project at the 2007 Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference (PCBC) in San Francisco. Vantage presents townhomes with approximately 1,473 to 2,430 square feet and two to four bedrooms.
The builder’s community in Irvine Ranch, Paloma at Portola Springs, was also honored as an Élan finalist for Best Sales Office with a Model Plan. The community earned industry praise earlier this year with a Gold Nugget merit award for Attached Sub-Urban Residential Project of the Year at the 2007 Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference. Last year, Paloma also took home two MAME Awards for Best Product Design of an Attached Product and Best Sales Office within a Model. Paloma showcases artfully designed paired and detached homes with approximately 1,723 to 2,530 square feet.
In addition to these nominations, Brookfield was recognized with a finalist for Best Buyer Retention Program or Special Program for its “Feeling Lucky” campaign, which promoted Mulberry at The Preserve at Chino throughout the month of July. Mulberry earned four Élan Awards last year, including the competition’s highest honor for Best Detached Community of the Year. Mulberry Cottage presents three to four bedrooms and two and one-half to three baths in approximately 1,416 to 1,874 square feet. Mulberry Casita offers three to four bedrooms and two and one-half to three baths in 1,609 to 1,988 square feet.
Brookfield Homes Southland proudly adds these finalist nominations to their growing repertoire of accolades. The company set a record at the 2006 MAME Awards by taking home eight prestigious gold awards, including the most coveted honors of the night for Attached Community of the Year and Detached Community of the Year—the fourth year in a row Brookfield Southland has earned the distinction. In 2005, Cienega also earned the distinction of Best Attached Community of the Year, while Verdi at Vellano in Chino was honored as Best Detached Community of the Year at the MAME Awards. Brookfield earned the same awards for TREO at Woodbury and Careyes in Talega in 2004, preceded by Citrus in the Summit at Turtle Ridge in 2003. At the 2007 Nationals Awards, the builder was honored with a highly prestigious Gold Award for Best Brochure for its “Look Book.” Cienega in Long Beach also won a Platinum honor at the 2007 Best In American Living Awards (BALA).
All of these awards pay tribute to Brookfield’s 10+year tradition of creating communities that not only captivate homeowners, but also industry insiders. Brookfield Southland currently offers a diverse collection of communities throughout Southern California, each built to the company’s exacting standards and showcasing their unique dedication to creating homes that celebrate a love for design and a passion for quality.
