THE SOCAL FINALISTS ANNOUNCED!

ORANGE COUNTY, CA - This year, the Sales and Marketing Council combined all of the award contests into one, The SoCal Awards. Appropriately themed Come Together, after the Beatles song, The SoCal Awards encompasses MAME, Laurels and Elan Award competitions. It is the building industries celebration of marketing excellence.

For the first time ever, a Buyers Choice Award for Community of the year was featured. Communities entered were The Cottages at Edenglen, Belcourt at Edenglen, Harmony at Colony Park and Legacy at Colony Park and asked all homeowners, homebuyers and prospects to vote for their favorite community. Finalists for the Buyers Choice will be announced later this week.

Last week, The SoCal Awards announced their finalists. Among those celebrated was Brookfield Homes! The company received 11 finalists nominations, including 3 nominations for Community of the Year – The Cottages at Edenglen, Harmony at Colony Park and Belcourt at Edenglen. Brookfield even received a finalist nomination for Sustainable Community of Year at Colony Park… Go Green!

The awards ceremony will take place on October 10 at Disney’s The Grand California Hotel in Anaheim. Below is a list of the finalist nominations.

• Best Logo - Belcourt at Edenglen

• Best Sales Office - Harmony at Colony Park

• Best Signage - Colony Park

• Best Interior Merchandising of a Model - Harmony Plan 5

• Unique Space – Room of your Choice - Legacy Plan 2, Living Room

• Product Design of an Attached Community - Belcourt at Edenglen

• Product Design of an Attached Community - Harmony at Colony Park

• Community of the Year:

o Single Family Detached - The Cottages at Edenglen
o Attached Suburban - Harmony at Colony Park
o Attached Suburban - Belcourt at Edenglen

• Sustainable Community of the Year - Colony Park
