BROOKFIELD HOMES SOUTHLAND CELEBRATES MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF SUCCESS WITH TWO KEY PROMOTIONS

COSTA MESA, CA. — For more than 10 years, Brookfield Homes Southland has built homes that celebrate a love for design and a passion for quality. This belief has helped transform the division into one of the most successful builders today, now employing over 150 talented professionals who are passionate about staying true to the Brookfield experience. Perhaps no greater example of Brookfield’s unwavering commitment to excellence can be found than in their own growing Brookfield family, which recently included the promotions of two key professionals. Rocky Tracy was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Mercedes Meserve was promoted to Marketing Director, announced Division President, Adrian Foley.

“Behind every home we build and every community we develop, the core of our success lies in the strength of our team. Loyal team members like Rocky and Mercedes have helped sustain the Brookfield tradition over the last few years,” said Foley. “They truly exemplify the extraordinary level of enthusiasm and loyalty that is true of everyone in the Brookfield family.”

The appointment of Rocky Tracy to Vice President of Sales will undoubtedly take the Southland division to even more success in the coming years. As Vice President of Sales, Tracy will oversee the entire sales staff, coordinate with marketing, planning, construction and purchasing departments, manage market research and performance budgeting, and oversee sales on all of the active communities across Southern California. A real estate legend in his own right, Tracy has more than seventeen years of real estate sales experience and has achieved numerous awards throughout his career, including a 2005 MAME Award for Sales Manager of the Year and a Brookfield KWON award in 2001. For the last five years at Brookfield Southland, Tracy served as Sales Director. Prior to that position, he served as Sales Manager for three years. He is also an active member of the Southern California Sales & Marketing Council.

Mercedes Meserve will also continue the Brookfield Homes Southland tradition of excellence in her new role as Marketing Director. Serving the division for more than three years as an integral member of the marketing department, Meserve possesses a talent for creating marketing strategies from the ground up and a genuine belief in the power of Brookfield’s signature style, warmth, and details. As Marketing Director, Meserve will work closely with Tracy to direct all results for each new Brookfield neighborhood or masterplanned community, including advertising strategies, merchandising, budgets and promotion. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Meserve previously honed her marketing skills at Quest Software, and adapted that vital work experience to the needs of Brookfield Homes Southland. Meserve continues to make her mark on the real estate marketing industry as an active member of the Sales & Marketing Council.

With the promotions of these two talented professionals, Brookfield Homes Southland proudly continues its 10-year tradition of creating award-winning communities that not only captivate homeowners, but also industry insiders. The division has already earned several top honors in the homebuilding industry’s most prestigious awards ceremonies this year. Recently, Cienega in Long Beach earned a Platinum honor for attached housing at the prestigious Best in American Living Awards (BALA). Brookfield Southland also raised the bar at the MAME 2006 Awards with a total of 18 nominations and nine gold awards, including high accolades for its artistic, fashion-forward corporate brochure, the Brookfield “Look Book,” marking the third time this brochure has captured the attention of the building industry. The Brookfield Look Book already won prestigious gold awards at the 2007 Nationals and 2006 Élan Awards. The division’s Mulberry at The Preserve at Chino earned the highest honors for “Detached Community of the Year” at two separate awards ceremonies, the MAME Awards and the Élan Awards. Vantage in Diamond Bar further impressed the MAME judges this year, who honored it with the distinction of “Attached Community of the Year.”

These prestigious MAME honors mark the fourth year in a row Brookfield has received one of the program’s most coveted awards. Last year, Cienega in Long Beach was honored as Best Attached Community of the Year and Verdi at Vellano in Chino Hills was honored as Best Detached Community of the Year at the 2005 MAME Awards. Brookfield also took home the award for TREO at Woodbury and Careyes in Talega in 2004 and for Citrus in the Summit at Turtle Ridge the year prior.
