Edenglen will be the first community to open within Ontario’s first true master-planned community, the New Model Colony. Current plans for the New Model Colony include parks, retail and entertainment centers, office space, health facilities, schools and approximately 30,000 homes over the next 20 years. As a part of the New Model Colony, Edenglen is envisioned as a very walkable community, where residents will connect easily with their neighbors and community amenities via a pedestrian friendly environment where wide parkways and sidewalks integrate with a network of trails. An abundance of recreational amenities are planned, including a centrally located clubhouse and park, allowing for a social community to blossom.

Named for the family that ran a dairy farm on the community’s land for more than two decades, Edenglen’s own Pinheiro Park is planned to encompass an outdoor amphitheatre, swimming pool, playgrounds, half- basketball courts, picnic areas with outdoor barbecues, and more. The Clubhouse, with its wraparound porch overlooking Pinheiro Park, will be another popular destination offering a media lounge, game room, and multipurpose room, while several neighborhood pocket parks, including a Bark Park for the four legged friends, will provide additional close-to-home places for fun.

The community also is planned with wi-fi hotspots for easy on-the-go Internet access. As part of the New Model Colony, the residences of Edenglen will also be part of a state-of-the-art fiber optics network in The Colony, expected to offer advanced video, high-speed data and digital telephone capabilities. Edenglen’s authentic design character will draw upon timeless designs such as Traditional, Spanish Colonial, Bungalow, Territorial Ranch, Monterey, Spanish and Cottage inspired architecture. Tree-lined streets with wide parkways and old-fashioned lamplights also will contribute to the hometown flavor.
