BROOKFIELD HOMES SOUTHLAND SETS RECORD WITH HIGHEST HONORS AT THE 2006 MAME AWARDS
COSTA MESA, CA. — Brookfield Homes Southland’s signature combination of style, warmth, and details continues to lead the builder to success when it comes to winning awards, and this year has been no exception. Brookfield set a new record with 18 finalist nominations at the 2006 MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards and on March 31, 2007, the builder set another record by taking home eight prestigious gold awards, including the most coveted honors of the night for “Attached Community of the Year” and “Detached Community of the Year.” These extremely competitive awards, chosen out of more than 600 entries involving new home communities across Southern California, now bear the Brookfield name for a fourth year in a row.
Mulberry Cottage and Mulberry Casita at The Preserve at Chino, two Brookfield neighborhoods that have already been honored with a prestigious Élan award for Detached Community of the Year, garnered three gold awards for: Best Model Complex Landscape, Best Interior Merchandising—Casita 3, and “Detached Community of the Year.” The community was additionally honored with five merit awards for: Best Single Family Detached Home—Casita 1, Best Single Family Detached Home—Casita 3, Best Sales Office, Best Brochure, and Best Signage. Bringing Brookfield’s distinctive vision of home and community spirit to The Preserve at Chino, both Mulberry neighborhoods offer well-designed floorplans spanning from 1,416 to 1,988 square feet and a host of distinctive features providing comfort and convenience in equal measure.
Vantage, Brookfield’s stylish community in Diamond Bar, further impressed the MAME judges this year, who honored it with a Best Signage award and the distinction of “Attached Community of the Year.” Vantage also earned six merit awards for: Best Single Family Detached Home—Terrace Homes, Best Design of an Attached Project, Best Model Complex Landscape, Best Interior Merchandising of a Model—Plan Four, Best Sales or Information Pavilion, and Best Graphic Continuity.
In addition to the highest MAME honors for Vantage and Mulberry, Brookfield’s Paloma at Portola Springs won in both categories for which it was nominated: Best Product Design of an Attached Product and Best Sales Office in a Model. Ideally located in the Irvine Ranch, Paloma showcases artfully designed paired and detached homes with approximately 1,723 to 2,530 square feet that are as timeless as they are intimate.
Brookfield Southland raised the bar once again with a Best Brochure win for its artistic, fashion-forward “Look Book,” marking the third time this brochure has captured the attention of the industry. The Look Book already won prestigious gold awards at the 2007 Nationals Awards and 2006 Élan Awards. Another innovative corporate marketing campaign that shares Brookfield’s unique vision and passion for creating lasting relationships with each homebuyer, the company’s “Just Be” newsletters and other direct mail materials were also honored with a Best Direct Mail merit award.
Brookfield’s success at MAME continues its 10-year tradition of creating communities that not only captivate homeowners, but also industry insiders. Last year, the builder’s Cienega was honored as Best Attached Community of the Year and Verdi was honored as Best Detached Community of the Year at the 2005 MAME Awards. Brookfield also took home the awards for TREO at Woodbury and Careyes in Talega in 2004, as well as for Citrus in the Summit at Turtle Ridge the year prior.
