BROOKFIELD HOMES SOUTHLAND EARNS TOP HONORS AT THE 2007 NATIONAL AWARDS

Brookfield Homes Southland’s signature combination of style, warmth, and details has once again made a profound impression on the panel of judges for the most celebrated awards ceremony in the country. Brookfield Southland recently earned top honors at the 2007 Nationals Awards, presented by the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC), a council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The awards gala was held on February 7, 2007 in Orlando, Florida.

The company took home a prestigious Gold Award for Best Brochure for its “Look Book,” a unique fashion-forward brochure inspired by art and photography coffee table books that touts Brookfield’s award-winning communities over the last ten years. Brookfield Southland was also honored with a Silver Award for Best Buyer Retention Program and a Regional Award for Best Sales Office for its two neighborhoods at The Preserve in Chino, Mulberry Cottage and Mulberry Casita. These two neighborhoods have already been honored with a prestigious Élan award for Detached Community of the Year and also garnered six finalist nominations at the 2006 MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards, which will be held on March 31, 2007, at the Disneyland Hotel® Grand Ballroom in Anaheim.

“It is always a tremendous honor to be recognized by our peers—but our Nationals wins are especially gratifying because the awards ceremony represents the very best in homebuilding, design, and marketing throughout the entire country,” said Mercedes Meserve, Marketing Director for Brookfield Homes Southland. “We value the recognition of our industry peers—but even more than that—we value the trust our homebuyers have put in us to create their homes. This trust is at the heart of everything we do. These awards are truly reflective of our passion for our homebuyers and our dedication to creating communities that stand apart and showcase our attention to style, warmth, and details.”

The Nationals 2007 honors continue Brookfield’s 10-year tradition of creating award-winning communities that not only captivate homeowners, but also industry insiders. Last year, the builder’s Cienega was honored as Best Attached Community of the Year and Verdi was honored as Best Detached Community of the Year at the 2005 MAME Awards, marking the third year in a row Brookfield received one of the program’s most coveted awards. Brookfield also took home the award for TREO at Woodbury and Careyes in Talega in 2004 and for Citrus in the Summit at Turtle Ridge the year prior.
