Carina Hathaway, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Brookfield Southland

Carina Hathaway, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, was one of the founders of Brookfield Homes’ Southland division in 1996. From the beginning, her driving force and vision have infused a sense of place in every Brookfield community, helping to distinguish them from other homebuilders in the region. Every day, Carina poses her catchphrase question “Is this the very best we can do?”  and energizes the Brookfield team with one challenge: Never settle for “good” when “great” is possible. 

Her infectious passion has played a large role in shaping Brookfield Southland’s approach to homebuilding—one focused on enduring craftsmanship, detailed design, family-friendly warmth, and committed customer care. As a wife and mother, Carina understands what home truly means to a family, which is why she aspires to make every aspect of the Brookfield experience as genuine and rewarding as possible.

From the creation and management of division brand equity, product positioning, and floorplan development to pricing evaluation, merchandising, sales supervision, and consumer research, Carina takes advantage of every opportunity to guide the sales and marketing team—and ultimately the Brookfield enthusiasts—to a homebuilder experience that is unlike any other and purely “Brookfield.”

Carina has been an instrumental part of Brookfield Southland for 11 years. Projects under her guidance have been recognized as “Project of the Year” by a number of committees for neighborhoods throughout Southern California. She was a 1995 MAME award recipient for “Marketing Director of the Year” and received the Max Tipton Award at the 2005 MAME ceremonies.
