Back to Innovative Team » Brian Geis, Vice President, Development, Brookfield Southland
As Vice President of Development, Brian Geis appreciates the inspiring innovation and planning that goes into every Brookfield Southland community. His understanding of what makes these communities special is what led to his promotion to Vice President in 2004, enabling his own personal creativity as a musician and writer, to encourage and lead his team in the planning and ultimate development of neighborhoods that are comfortable, inviting, and distinctly “Brookfield.”
While overseeing the creation of Brookfield masterplans, Brian’s one condition across the board is that every completed neighborhood is one the team is really proud of—a place that they’d want their families to call home. The feeling of “home” is one that should be special, and that’s something Brian believes in for his family, as well as for every Brookfield owner. His home is one where he and his sons build projects in the garage, where he and his wife sit on the porch and watch the sunset—a place that feels like it’s purely their own. He wants Brookfield homeowners to share that same sentiment—to feel their home is unique, crafted just for them, with attention to every detail from community planning to the front door—and he carries that aspiration through to every single Brookfield masterplan and home. “I’ve lived in Southern California all my life, and I know what homebuyers really want. So, when I look at a new Brookfield community, I ask myself just one important question—would my family be happy here? When I answer ‘Yes,’ I know we’ve succeeded again.”
Brian has been a part of Brookfield for seven years and served on the Homeaid Orange County Board from 2005–2006. He holds both a BA in Anthropology and an MA in Architecture and Urban Planning from UCLA.
